She believed she could, so she did :D

What started as a simple idea is now a reality, with every CIMO clip showing the hard work and determination of us girls. The strength of girls knows no bounds.”

Why We Created CIMO

Since 2023, hair claws have taken the world by storm, with many new brands popping up. I was a follower of these trends, but after buying and using them, I found that while they looked cute, they often lacked practicality. Some clips would fall out immediately, while others would slip off within minutes. This was inconvenient and sometimes embarrassing. So, I decided to create a hair claw brand that blends beauty and functionality.

For me, clipping on a hair claw is the first action I take when I'm about to start something new. It's like a little signal: "I'm ready." This is why CIMO's first slogan is “Clip Into The Next Moment.” With a CIMO hair claw, I’m ready to embrace the next moment and tackle the next task. Though it’s just a hair claw, it can make me feel more poised and confident.

Starting my own brand has been my dream since childhood. When I decided to create CIMO, it was just me and an idea in my head. Many friends advised me to give up, warning me not to waste the money I had saved from working over the years. However, as I worked tirelessly to push things forward, I met our current CIMO brand designer. From the logo to the brand’s tone and style, from designing each product to testing their grip, from the first batch of unsatisfactory products forcing us to change factories, to the challenges of working with a new factory, this journey has not been easy. But we, two determined women, have never been afraid, nor have we ever thought of giving up. This is why you will often see the phrase “She Thinks She Could, So She Did” on our stickers or packaging.

When you receive our products, I hope you not only recognize the brand CIMO but also see that this is the result of two persevering women turning their vision into the product you hold in your hands through hard work and determination. If we can do it, so can you, no matter what challenges you are facing.

We hope that CIMO products are not just practical tools for you but also a source of strength. Remember, “Girl, don’t be afraid. You are always stronger and more capable than you think.”

This is the purpose and original intention behind our brand. We sincerely thank you for your support.

CIMO Hair Claw Material

All CIMO hair claws are made from high-quality cellulose acetate. Cellulose acetate is a bio-plastic derived from plants, widely known for its use in high-end eyeglasses and sunglasses frames. It is an eco-friendly material that has been ISCC PLUS certified. Made from natural plant fibers such as cotton or wood pulp, cellulose acetate is a renewable resource. Compared to petroleum-based plastics, cellulose acetate is more biodegradable at the end of its lifecycle, making it more environmentally friendly.

Additionally, cellulose acetate is hypoallergenic. It does not contain harmful chemicals and is non-irritating to the skin, making it a safe and hypoallergenic material.

Why Cellulose Acetate Hair Claws are Better than Acrylic Hair Claws

Most plastic hair claws on the market are made from acrylic plastic. Unlike cellulose acetate, acrylic is a non-renewable, non-biodegradable plastic made from petroleum-based chemicals, some of which can be irritating to the skin. While both materials are high in hardness, cellulose acetate offers better elasticity and is less prone to cracking, whereas acrylic is more brittle and prone to breaking or cracking.

In terms of material applications, cellulose acetate is commonly used in high-end eyeglass frames, hair claws, and other fashion accessories, emphasizing aesthetics and user experience. In contrast, acrylic is widely used in products such as advertising displays and stands, where material and environmental requirements are lower.
